Contact the Office of Defense Services in your county as soon as you are charged with a crime to determine if you are eligible for representation. Contact the office for more information.

  Bring information regarding your financial status, charges, names and addresses of witnesses to your eligibility interview.

  If you are assigned a conflict attorney, contact your attorney as soon as you receive a letter from their office advising you to do so.

  You should never discuss your case with anyone other than your lawyer. Most importantly, keep in mind that:  ALL CALLS AT THE PRISON ARE RECORDED AND MAY BE USED AGAINST YOU AT TRIAL.

  Advise your lawyer and the court if you move or change your phone number.

  Do not file motions with the court on your behalf or send letters to anyone about your case.

  Be on time for court.

  Dress appropriately for court.
